He serves clients in the Syracuse, New York region, as well as across the US and internationally.
Dennis has always had a strong desire to coach. He began as a school athletic coach in basketball, soccer, and track and field. He coaches as a pastor, both from the pulpit and in one-on-one counseling sessions. He’s coached hundreds of students as head of the Career Services Department (Office of Vocation and Calling) at Houghton University. And he has successfully coached several hundred clients through outplacement services as they transition out of a position with their corporate employer and into a new role with a new company.
Dennis’s approach to coaching is to make his clients’ challenges his own. “I do what I can to set a strong foundation for them with the right tools and strategies. But I also engage them in conversations to think through issues at a deeper level, to ensure that we uncover desires, insights, and opportunities that can lead them to real fulfillment in their next job.” He easily recognizes their pain, or how they’re feeling, and with the insight of a natural coach and mentor, sets them up with winning tools and looks ahead to the future they’re aiming for.
Dennis feels connected to professionals in various stages of their careers, from just out of college through mid-career. He enjoys working with job-seekers in many fields, including in sales professions, because, as he says, “they are not afraid to talk about themselves in a positive light.” He has also had considerable success with job-seekers in the tech sector, remarking, “I enjoy their way of looking at statistics, and the reality they bring to the job search.”

Dennis earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education (Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA); a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography (State University of New York at Geneseo); a Bible Theology Degree (Elohim Bible Institute in Castile, NY); and completed multiple courses toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dennis serves on the board of directors for Genesee Rapids Baseball in Houghton, NY.
