Dan Carlson is a TTI Success Insights® DISC Certified, TTI-Motivators® Certified, and CareerCOACH™ Certified career advancement expert. He is dedicated to accelerating the job search and helping his clients find meaningful, fulfilling, and financially rewarding careers. Dan serves professionals in the Pacific Northwest, in addition to clients across the US and internationally.
In addition to his focus as CareerCOACH™, Dan is also a pastor, youth minister, and church founder. Each of these roles appeals to Dan’s love of coaching, mentoring, and helping people live their lives to the fullest, connecting the deepest parts of themselves with the world around them. Dan is devoted to the pursuit of the common good, believing that the success of individuals is intricately linked to the success of families and communities.
Dan’s coaching style is approachable, compassionate, and relatable; in addition, he is extremely effective, being a natural motivator and a logical problem-solver. Having experienced transitions and growth in his own career, Dan relates to clients who know it’s time to transition, but don’t know what to do next. Dan is most passionate about helping people make important decisions at critical moments in their lives. Perhaps for this reason, he feels particularly connected to clients who feel tired, discouraged, and are losing hope in their job search. Dan chose to base his career coaching practice on the CareerCOACH System™, because it offers a proven method for people to advance their careers and find fulfilling, rewarding careers where they can thrive. This appeals to Dan’s compassionate side of helping people and his logic- and integrity-based need to deliver real results. Dan holds a Master of Divinity degree from Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley. His certifications include: Prepare-Enrich Pre-Marital Counseling Facilitator (Palm Beach County, FL); Hospital Chaplaincy (Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia); and Stephen’s Ministry Training (First Presbyterian Church, Berkeley, California).
Dan has traveled extensively to volunteer for projects with Habitat for Humanity, Hurricane Katrina relief social rights advocacy, and hospital aid for victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Dan and his wife are foster parents and lead various foster care activities in their community of Edmonds, Washington.
